Cronkhite, Charles Douglas
Charles Douglas Cronkhite – Pueblo Chieftain – December 5, 1996 - Charles Douglas Cronkhite, 88, passed away Dec. 2, 1996. Survived by Irene Cronkhite his devoted wife of 64 years, son, Dr Gary (Jo Liska) Cronkhite of Bloomington, Ind.: daughters, Sharon (Clyde) Kate of Fergus Falls, Minn. Carol (Richard) Mortensen of Yakima, Wash.: sister, Ruth Linn: sister-in-law, Dorothy Wemette and Shirley Derry; seven grand-children and nine great-grand-children. His parents and five brothers and sisters preceded him in death. Charles was born Sept. 27, 1908, in Stanwood, Iowa. To Ethyl and Harry Cronkhite. As a resident of Pueblo for 52 years, he taught at Centennial High School until he retired. He was a member of Pueblo Free Methodist Church. He will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor Mark Hecht officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
