1933 at the Univ of OK, He took Graduate Studies in 1934 at the Univ of
Chicago.
He was the President of SEOM 1957-58.
In 1944 he founded the Palentological Lab in Midland, it closed
in 1976.
Richard married (MRIN:14483) Clarice Marie SPRINGER,
daughter of Charles Samuel SPRINGER "Bimy" and Mary Ann GOFF
(MRIN:1972), on 26 Dec 1933. Clarice was born2
on 11 Dec 1907 in Shelbina, Shelby, Missouri, USA. She died2 on 5 Oct 2000 in Midland, Midland, Texas,
USA. She was buried2 in Resthaven

and Mary Ann Goff, she married Richard Vincen Hollingsworth 26 Dec 1933 at the
Cook Co Court House, Chicago, IL.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from OU in 1928.
She joined the staff as a library assistant, then later a circulation librarian
until 1933. She attended Columbia where she took courses toward a MLS degree.
She established 3 scholorship funds for OU. There is also a
Clarice Marie Springer Hollingsworth Scholorship Fund.
